Peter Carmody-Heaton

What excites you most about your new role?

This role is exciting as its focus is supporting the churches to engage in the local community and seek to develop new worshipping communities. This links with my call as a Pioneer to reach out to those at the margins of society and that we recognise are missing from our church communities.

Where are you from?

I am born and bred in the Black Country. Originally from Oldbury and now live in Wolverhampton.

What’s something unique about your background or work experience?

I used to roadie for local Christian rock bands in my twenties and had stop people from storming the stage as Dave Hill from Slade was playing at a charity gig.

If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

I have often been called a Big Friendly Giant

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?

I’m very artistic and have taught classes on graffiti, calligraphy and lots more.

If you could have dinner with any historical or famous person, who would it be and why?

Laurance of Arbia, He had some seriously cool bikes

What’s your favourite movie, TV show?

I love anime and sci fi

What’s one thing you hope to accomplish in your first few months?

I have already done some research building on what I know of the area and hope to get to know the needs of the area and the congregations better.

Depends on the mood, no milk please though
